Dr Marthin Nanere is a Senior Lecturer in Marketing within the School of Business, La Trobe University. He obtained his BSc, MSc and PhD from the Bogor Agricultural University, Indonesia, the University of Guelph, Canada and La Trobe University, Australia respectively.

His research interests cover a broad range of areas in channel member relationships, productivity measurement, sustainable marketing as well as issues related to consumer behaviour, perception, satisfaction, branding, loyalty, green products and community engagement. As a research associate in the Centre for Sustainable Regional Communities (CSRC), he has played a key role in a number of evaluation research projects undertaken by the CSRC and the City of Greater Bendigo. Dr. Nanere has tremendous experience in conducting different types of marketing research.

He has also contributed to the communities through research he has conducted. In his marketing research subject that he has taught in Shepparton, Albury, and Bendigo, he has helped different industries address their problems and provide some useful recommendations for them. Different research projects undertaken in the past include Business Incubator, Shepparton Show Me, Violet Town Community Capacity Building Initiatives, Elmore Field Days, Heathcote Wine and Food Festival, Bendigo Heritage Uncorked, Bendigo Easter Festival, the Bendigo Capital Theatre and the Feelgood Gym.

His research publications have appeared in several highly regarded journals including the Journal of Environmental Management, the Journal of Marketing Management, the International Journal of Business Research, the Asia Pacific Journal of Business, and the Journal of Food Products Marketing.
