Associate Professor Lyfie Sugianto is an expert of international standing in Mathematical Modeling and Simulation. She completed her Bachelor of Computer Systems Engineering from Curtin University with First Class Honours and her PhD in Electrical Engineering from Monash. She held academic appointments in the Faculty of IT and joined the Monash Business School (formerly the Faculty of Business and Economics) in 2008.

Dr. Sugianto has taught and published extensively in Business Analytics and Artificial Intelligent applications to study the competitive electricity market. She is also actively conducting research in the technological adoption and Information Systems usage. Her research work both in the electricity market and technology adoption studies had been funded through ARC grant, industrial and government grants.

Dr. Sugianto has co-authored close to 90 refereed publications, including book chapters and refereed papers in reputable journals, such as European Journal of Information Systems and Journal of Business Research. Her work in agent based modeling has attracted interests from international and local researchers. External to the University, she holds appointments as an international board member for several annual conferences and a member of editorial board review for the Journal of End User Computing in Organization.
