Dr Adrian Pranata is a Lecturer in the Department of Health Professions, Swinburne University of Technology.

Dr Adrian Pranata is a Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist and researcher with extensive clinical experience in the management of chronic musculoskeletal conditions. His research interests are lumbar extensor neuromuscular control, lifting biomechanics – specifically, inter-joint movement coordination and the utilisation of novel technologies in the assessment and management of people with chronic low back pain. He is currently involved in a large randomised-controlled trial investigating the effects of strength training and novel force control retraining program on lumbar extensor muscle morphology and lifting biomechanics in severe chronic low back pain patients. Adrian is the current Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy Australia (MPA) Victorian Chair. With the MPA, he is involved in the planning, convening and teaching post-graduate education programs for physiotherapists.
